Where are my cats kept?

On your phone. Every change is also copied to a backup file (kittehpult-cats-latest.json, in Downloads on Android) so you can keep a copy elsewhere or carry your cats to a new phone — Backup in the app writes and restores them.

I paid to remove ads and they came back

Reinstalling or switching phones can clear the local record of the purchase. Options → Restore purchases asks the store again; use the same Apple Account or Google account you bought it with.

The stack keeps falling over

Land cats squarely on the one below, and aim for cat beds — they steady everything above them. In Stressful mode tilt your phone to keep the column upright. Casual mode has infinite lives if you'd rather just fling.
